The chemistry department meets in 50 George Square, room G.01 on Monday from 18:30-19:30 throughout the semester.

 

The department of Chemistry of EUYSRA encourages chemistry undergraduates to pursue and develop original and independent research, through working as members of teams consisting of people of similar academic backgrounds, with the possibilities of cross departmental cooperation, thereby allowing valuable skills and appreciations for scientific research to be gained.

Through participation in the department of chemistry for the society, members will gain valuable skills related to being able to create new knowledge and opportunities for learning through the process of research and enquiry. Become confident in working independently and sustainably, in a way that is informed by openness, curiosity and a desire to meet new challenges, but also as a part of a team. Recognise and value the significance of communication as a tool for negotiating and creating new understanding, collaborating with others, and furthering their own learning.
