Position Details:

It is the duty of the department head to help individuals or groups to formulate their idea for a research proposition by helping them prepare their presentation to be given to the society, all done within the department meeting which the head will chair and organize. It is also the department heads responsibility to assist any members of his/her department to prepare any presentation which that member wishes to give to the society. The department head is the one who brings forward the research proposals to the Head of Research who in turn informs the secretary of all research applications.

Personal Details:

I have been part of the Medicine Department of EUYS RA for the past two years. I was the project leader for a study looking at the effect of quantity and quality of sleep on the cognitive and attentive abilities of Undergraduate Biomedical students, presenting the findings at the EUYSRA Conference. Through the oppo rtunities given to me by EUYSRA, I have gained many valuable skills in planning for an d executing the processes involved in conducting research projects as well as giving me t he chance to explore areas of interest outside of academic subjects. I hope to be able to use my experience and the skills developed in EUYSRA in order to guide future projects conduct ed by the Medicine Department, as well as expanding the scope and depth of the studies by collaborating with other Departments.
